Hello teacher and all my classmates.

Well, this is our last post in these blogs, I hope that all of them (posts) could be better, and all of us have learned more about this beautiful, and very useful language.

In my personal experience, this method had helped me a lot; I think that it is a very good technique to learn, improve, and practice our intermediate English.

Also, I find good to incorporate this kind of technology. It allows move with major facility and skill in this new land (technological era). That is important because in the future, when we will have to work, it going to be more and more technologies incorporated there, so in this aspect, this method is very helpful.

As well, blogs give us the possibility to show our stile (inside limits, of course), make any colour, different kind of letters; if we want we could put photos, videos, and things that represent us.
Now, more specific, to write week after week, permits to develop a better way of speaking and expressing; if we make a mistake, we could correct it and learn about it, that is the idea. Then, for another opportunity, we will not make this mistake again, it is supposed.

Finally, I think that any language needs to be practiced, if we discontinue to use it, we will start to loose it, so the only way to keep the language, is practicing it, not every day, because that is very difficult (except if we were in that language country); but trying to speak it the most possible.

To be a good cook...

I´m not sure what is my ideal job, but if I think in one, I find to be cook is so interesting, fun and if we are good for cook, we could have a very peculiar life.

The cooks can work in different restaurants, depending on kind of restaurant, if it is of Peruvian, Indian, French food, etc. Also they can work in cruises, and live traveling around the world. As well, they can cook in a TV program, showing culinary recipes.
If they have the possibility, they can make their own culinary recipes, innovating, trying something new, mixing different ingredients, combining smells, flavors, and typical culture food.

To be a good cook, I think one has to be very creative, ingenious, but have some knowledge about food, to not make new things but no so appetizing. It is important moreover, to present plates tastefully decorated, to be pleasant, agreeable for people who will eat, because, as we say in Spanish: “all enter by eyes”. But the most important thing is has a very powerful passion for cook, if one don´t have this liking, this work loose all its grace.

I didn´t study that because I don´t have all this characteristics. I like to cook but in my house, without careful about make something bad and when I have all the freedom to make anything. I really enjoy cook, but I like do it when I have free time, in holydays for example. In those moments I like to prepare beans, lasagna, corn pie, and plates like theses. Now, in this time, in general I am not in habit of make special food, only easy things, and in my home, is my father who cook.

claudia´s blog

In this opportunity, I will talk about a post of Claudia Zamora, one of my best friends here in Governmental School. I choose her because I have the confidence necessary to speak and criticize her blog.
I am going to review a post about changes in Chilean politics. Claudia made reference to Chilean Constitution, she said that we need others laws, new laws, and other kind of politic system. I meet her ideas so clever, the arguments are solids. The entire things that she said have a strong social content; we can see that she is sensible to things that happened around her. So I find the content interesting, intelligent, useful, especially in this times, near of a new president election.
Now, I will refer to the form that she writes. Well, the true is that I met few grammar mistakes, the orthography was average, and she made little mistakes I think because she is very absentminded, for example she put some words in Spanish.
To finish, I meet her blog simple, post are clear, Claudia always put photograph with her texts or opinions. I´m not sure, but I think that she, the same as I, doesn`t know a lot of computers, of blog, and for this reason, our blog are not very decorated, with especial effects, and things like that.
Any way, it´s fan to see and to read her blog.

creativity

I think that the creativity is so important to live an integrate life, I agree with Sir Ken Robinson, that creativity is very important and necessary, it is a need that be implemented at school, it is important to children to familiarize whit it.

I agree that at school, the arts have the minor importance, that should change, But for this change is necessary that in the culture, in the society, who thinks about the arts as a hobby, as something of minor importance, for this reason very few ones decided to study it.

Years ago, I wanted to study theatre, but many people told me that this career was not profitable, this problem is because we themselves value it a little bit.

It is necessary that we released that is a need to change this approach, as Sir Robinson had said, this could not lend us any good in the future

when I will be president...

If I could change something in Chilean Politics, I think that I would do threes important things: first I would make other suffrage system, then I would change the participation Congress, finally I would introduce a variation in The Constitution.

I would like found a system inscription suffrage different: automatic inscription, and voluntary vote, not like today, where we have to register, and to vote is obligatory. This proposition would make participate more people in politic.

Other think that I would like to change is that in the Congress, more political forces will be represented; like that, we would avoid only two powerful forces that have the control of all legislative decisions. I meet that the actually system is very exclusive, so elitist, and the people who is there, obstruct the entry of different thoughts. Obviously, that would complicate them, because they would receive fewer benefits. For these causes, I propose a system that represents in percentage all points of view, all political forces.

To finalize, I would change the base of our Constitution, I would pass from Family to Individual, and whit this variation, a lot of laws would change to. That change would make possible to this society to be less conservator.

She is Valentina Bravo, my best friend.

I met her in scout, when I arrived to the Company in September, 2003. At the beginning, we were not friends; she was in other patrol –little group´ scout-.
Then, around 2005, we started to become closer, because both were in High-patrol. But the best moment didn´t arrive yet. In that time we had to be leaders of High-patrol; other reason to be more friends.

In 2006, we passed to the Route together, that was the real beginning of our friendship. From that moment on, we made a lot of things together; go out, shopping, eating, dancing, to the parties, etc…
We were in contact all the time, we prepared scout things, those were beautiful memories.

However, we have differences, she is more out going, happy, infantile, obstinate, and moody; both are inquisitive, worried, nuts, and together we are the best couple.

We have got some arguments, especially in love things –when she or I, was in a relationship-, but nothing important.
We have something in common: her first name star with V, her name with B, and her second name with G, like me, Valentina Bravo Galvez, Valentina Benforado García.

I love her, she is so important for me, I hope to be with her for all my life.

I don`t have any favourite web site, but I frequently review my e-mail, my Facebook, and I search somethings in Google. I use internet more like a tool than a entertainment, because, I think that is it gratest usefulness.

The web site that I more visit to entertainment is Facebook, but this "entertainment" is very relative. I descovered it since a year approximately. When I made me one (one "Facebook"), it wasn`t very common.

In reality, it has a lot of things, that`s it utility:

Photos: We can load our photos. As well is useful to see differents pictures of my friends. Also, at important moments that I didn`t take fotographs, I can get out other fhotos took by other people.

Messages: Besides, we can send and receive messages, they could be confidential or public; and chain messages too. The last one is so useful espacially to make people aware about policy, ecology, or somethig different.

Birthdays: this web site announce in advance the birthdays.

Amusement: facebook has many plays and test to don`t be borred.

Finally, by no means Facebook is an important activity in my life, in fact I review it twice or three times a week.

This song is very common, is called "No woman, No cry".


It was sing by Robert Nesta Marley, alias Bos Marley.
He was jamaican, son of african mother and english
father (he never recognognized him). Then, they
moved to Kingston and they lived in a depressed
area. Here he received black people discrimanation
and Rastafari religion influence. These aspects
became so important to write his letters.
Now he´s an icon to lot of peolple, especially young.
His letters are fills, loaded of social content.



I don´t remember very well the first time that I listened this song, but I become to familiarize whit Bob Marley about approximately ten years old. I liked to much because, without understand the letters, I found the songs very happy. One day I saw a honey moon video about my uncles. It happened just in Jamaica and it use Bob Marley music. Then I really like it.


After, in seventh grade, I bought a Bob Marley CD, it had 31 songs. I remember to have listened a lot, but I emphasize "No Woman, No Cry":

I´m not very into technology, but we cannot deny it usefulness.
In this opportunity, I will talk about computers.
At the beginning, I was reluctant to agree it use. I had problems to work in Word, whit its tools, I made me exasperated because I didn´t understand. Before, the only thing that I did was play Tomy Jerry, it was very simple compared to modern´s games.

Later, the internet arrived and it became to be normal in the houses. That was a very important revolution, because, it takes part of the beginnig of a new era. Then, we satarted to create our first e-mail´s account. In total I have had approximatelly four e-mails account.

In time, gradually I began to incorporate the computer in my life, owing to student demands (works, presentations), and to socialize too.
The first computer that my family bought was, I think, near to 1997, in this moment it didn`t have internet. After that, my father bought an other. Then, both of these computers was updated. Later, my mother bougth a notebook, to use in her job (she`s teacher).
Now, my brothers and I have a new computer, it was purchase last year.

In all of this time, I have familiarized whit this technology. It´s normal to me to use it almost all of days, I have to revise my e-mail account, to see differents pages, to search some information, and to keep me posted.

This piece of technology is part of my life now, I really don´t know how can be my life without it, but I think that more difficult, because it offer a lot help in many things (information, communication, work).
Finaly, I hope to have my personal notebook, because it`s very useful to university.

My CareeR

I choosed Public Administratation because it ranged over many topics. Before, at the School, I wanted to study other things like theater and low, both of them very defferents. But I had periods so confused, and then I was looking for other career, no conventional. I wanted something like Politic science, and I like University of Chile. In this search I founded Public Administration, it covers many thing very interesting, for example history, sociology, low (later I don´t like it) and economy (so difficult for me), in the others. Now my favorite subject is Administration´theory.

I thing this career is so important to society because, principally, it tries to cover people requirements, and it needs to be at people service. A government employee has to be neer of society and of their problems.

In the future, this professionals will have to have new tools, because society changes constantly, and forms to understand it and to deal whit, change too. The ways will depend of poeple needs. But I´m sure of something: telecommunications and information technology will increase.

* V A L D I V I A *

Here I`m in Valdivia in south of Chile, wiht two friends: Marcela and Valentina, they both are scout mates.

Behind us is Calle-Calle river. Valdivia is very lovely, -maybe the most beautiful place in Chile- wiht a lush vegetation, pretty landscape, nice wood houses and very nice people.

This phofo was taken in 2008, just to Kuntsmann Beer Festival. That trip was part of my summer scout camp. I really enjoy it, in fact, it was one of my better camps.

The picture was taken by one person of the street. After this moment we went to take luch to the port, and then, we visited the handicrafts fair.

I remember this moment with happiness, because we visited a lot of places; and with pity, because two of my

friends became ill. One took gastritis and the other got appendicitis, they both were in the hospital; but now they´re good.

That´s the history of this photo, and of that moment.

this semester

Well, in this semester I hope to have a good marks, for this objective, of course I have to study a lot, especially because my first quiz was to bad. I want to learn differents things, and then, could speak without any help. that´s my wish.

introuction

I am Valentina and this is my english blog. I´m 19 and I am studying public administration at Universidad de Chile. I´m scout, I´m in the "Ruta", afterwards i will become a chief or a leader of little girls between 6 and 12 age. I love very much this life style.
Other things that i like is to travel and visit differents places. I hope that in the future I could travel in my job.
Finaly, I love nature and i want to do somethig to save it (recycling, to make poeple aware).
